The Will of Gratitude

God knows what the human heart needs and it needs to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks. This is God’s good will for us. Giving thanks takes our focus off the things that we are worried about and puts our focus on the good things in life.
What we focus on grows. That is why giving thanks is an important spiritual discipline. It helps open our eyes to the good gifts that God has generously given to us each day. Interestingly, it is also scientifically proven that listing the things we are grateful for improves our relationships, our mood, our sleep, our hopefulness, our resiliency and our physical and psychological health.
Let’s grow our thankfulness to the Lord this week. So many times we wonder what God’s will is for our lives – this is God’s will for you!
